T20 World Cup History

The Twenty20 (T20) cricket world championship is known as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The International Cricket Council (ICC), the sport’s global governing body, defines a Twenty20 International (T20I) as an international cricket match between two teams, each of which has T20I status.

Each team in a T20I only gets one inning, which can only last up to 20 overs. When a cricket player achieves 100 runs or more in a single innings, he is said to have “completed” a century. Nine players have scored ten centuries in the most recent tournament, the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

In cricket, a batsman who scored 100 runs or more in a single innings is said to have scored a century. The phrase is also used in the phrase “century partnership,” which happens when two batsmen score together and collectively add 100 runs to the team total.

David Miller owns the record for the quickest century in a T20 international, while Chris Gayle holds the record for the fastest century in the T20 World Cup (and fastest 100 in T20). Miller, Sudesh Wickramasekara of the Czech Republic, and Rohit Sharma of India all hold the record.

Glenn Phillips got the second century of the 2022 T20 World Cup on October 29, 2022. With 10 fours and 4 sixes, he scored 104 runs off 64 balls. This is the ninth-fastest T20I century in the T20 World Cup as of right now.
